SPECIAL MEETING
July 8, 2008
A special meeting of the Nockamixon Township Board of Supervisors was held on Monday, July 8, 2008 at 6:35PM at the Township Building in Ferndale, PA Chairperson Nancy Janyszeski opened the meeting with a salute to the flag. Other members present were Vice-Chair J. Litzenberger and Supervisors H. Gawronski, B. Keyser (arrived at 6:40PM), and A. Santopietro. Secretary A. Eichlin was in attendance.
This meeting was advertised in the Intelligencer on Monday July 7, 2008.
-J. Litzenberger opened a discussion regarding the grant awarded annually to the Nockamixon Historical Society and a commitment from the Board to approve funding. In addition the Board discussed the following issues: increase concert costs, amount of money spent for advertising and the amount of revenue generated.
Chairperson N. Janyszeski commented that the Board will meet in Executive Session to discuss personnel.
Chairperson Nancy Janyszeski commented that the Board met in Executive Session from 6:37PM to 6:50PM to discuss personnel.
It was the consensus of the Board to direct the Solicitor to send a letter to G. Moneteleone stating that they felt she had vacated the Treasurer’s position.
-The Board discussed the skateboards that are being brought to Veteran’s Park and their use of the pavilion for ramps. N. Janyszeski suggested that the Township install ‘no skateboarding’ signs. It was the consensus of the Board to purchase two (2) ‘no skateboarding’ signs to be posted at Veteran’s Park.
A motion was made by H. Gawronski, seconded by A. Santopietro, to appoint B. Keyser as the Assistant Treasurer for Nockamixon Township. The motion carried 5-0-0.
-Mr. Rickards called the Township with a verbal request to be on the July agenda.
A motion was made by A. Santopietro, seconded by N. Janyszeski, to adjourn the meeting at 7:00PM. The motion carried 5-0-0.
