PENNDOT TO REPAIR AND RESURFACE 18 MILES OF STATE HIGHWAY IN BUCKS COUNTY

 

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced that construction is scheduled to begin Monday, July 13, on a $3.7 million project to repair and resurface 18 miles of state highway in Bucks County.

The work scheduled for next week is:

·         Monday through Friday (July 13-17) – Lindenhurst Road will be restricted between Yardley Newtown Road and Twining Road in Newtown and Lower Makefield townships from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. for milling.

 

·         Wednesday through Friday (July 15-17) – Newtown Richboro Road between Rock Way and Green Lane in Northampton and Newtown townships from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for milling.

 

The additional roads to be repaired and resurfaced under this contract are:

·         Old Bristol Road between Route 532 (Buck Road) and Route 213 (Bridgetown Pike) in Lower Southampton Township.

 

·         State Road between Station Avenue and the Philadelphia city line in Bensalem and Bristol townships

 

·         Maple Avenue between Route 132 (Street Road) and Route 232 (Second Street Pike) in Upper Southampton Township.

 

·         Bensalem Boulevard between Gibson Road and Route 513 (Hulmeville Road) in Bensalem Township.

 

·         Route 413 (Durham Road/Bellevue Avenue/Pine Street) between Lincoln Highway and Richardson Avenue in Middletown Township, Penndel and Langhorne boroughs.

 

·         Big Oak Road between Makefield Road and Trenton Avenue in Lower Makefield and Falls townships.

·         Stony Hill Road between Woolson Drive and Yardley-Langhorne Road in Lower Makefield and Falls townships.

 

·         Swamp Road between Mill Creek and the Neshaminy Creek Bridge in Wrightstown Township.

 

·         Ramp from northbound Route 1 to northbound Interstate 95 in Middletown Township.

 

·         Windy Bush Road between Pine Lane and Pineville Road in Solebury Township.

 

·         Penn Valley Road at Old Bristol Pike in Falls Township.

 

·         Durham Road between Route 611 (Easton Road) and the Northampton County line in Nockamixon and Springfield townships.

 

Miller and Son Paving, Inc. of Pipersville, Pa., is the general contractor on the $3,729,890 project that is financed with 100 percent state funds.  The project is expected to finish by the end of November.
