EAC Report to Board of Supervisors meeting on 9/16/08

The EAC held their meeting on 9/11/08 at the Township Building.

Items requiring action by BOS or others

1. The EAC took a brief tour of the Hidden Valley dump area and found berms washed away, drainage pipes visible; and open & uncovered holding tanks with uncovered holes. In addition, underground debris is surfacing in several areas and neighboring wells have tested positive for substances and chemicals which may be connected to the dump. The area appears to be in a state of disrepair and presents an extremely hazardous safety situation.  The EAC wishes to bring the situation to the attention of the BOS for their action.

1. When is the quarry inspection date for this year?

1. Attention should be given to the Stormwater Facilities Maintenance Agreement requirements for the Sal Lapio subdivision basin. See the EAC letter dated 9/13/08.
