Saldo Recommended Tree List (DRAFT)

A list of recommended changes, including additions and deletions, to the current Saldo Recommended Tree List to be used by developers and contractors operating within the township.  These recommendations are the work of several Open Space Committee members with knowledge and expertise in this area.  The species deleted were those non-native trees that are already proven to be highly invasive and aggressive in our native habitats or are closely related genetically to others that are known to be invasive.  To offset these deletions a significant number of native species are being proposed for addition to the list.  The goal of these proposed changes is to encourage development that is consistent with the rural character of our township while excluding exotic species that have the potential to damage our valuable native habitats.
