Historic Nockamixon Township is located in beautiful Upper Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1742, Nockamixon Township is one of two townships in Bucks County with an Indian name. The name was said to mean “at the place of three huts” or “at the place of soft soil.” This rural community comprises Revere, Kintnersville, Bucksville and Ferndale. Nockamixon Township has a variety of scenic opportunities from large farms, mountainous landscapes and Delaware River front views. There are many places to visit and enjoy within the township and the surrounding townships.
